My group class didn't make (not enough people), so I'm still going to work with my trainer each week. We decided to go ahead and do the assessment stuff, too since I'm not dropping the weight as quickly as I should be given my diet and exercise.
So last week I did the little assessment thing. It was kinda cool... nice to know that I'm not as far off on things as I thought I have been.
As it is, I'm going to be doing a ~1600 calorie diet (400ish for breakfast, lunch and dinner... and about 150-180 for snacks twice a day).
My weight on her scale (as opposed to the gym's) is a bit lower, so I liked that number better. She did my measurements and all that... And an indirect calorimetry thing which told me how many calories I need to be eating to lose weight properly. I felt like a science experiment.
We went over my typical eating and working out... And my workout routine is only going to change a little... My BMI is higher than she wants, which I figured would be the case, though it's not as bas as I expected. So I have to work on getting that down. Health first, then weight.
Here's my workout routine:
Sunday - light cardio (30-45min)
Monday - cardio/strength class
Tuesday - Zumba
Wednesday - Ultimate spinning class
Thursday - torture session w/ trainer (cardio/strength) plus 30min light cardio
Friday - Zumba
Saturday - Zumba
As it is, I'm down 20lbs (according to the gym's scale--the one I use regularly). Not a big jump from my last post, but I think with the restructuring of my diet and new workout schedule, the results will pick up.
I'm definitely seeing a bigger difference in my clothes, which is nice! I'm in jeans I haven't worn in years!
So that's where I stand right now!
